Happy Monday Lovelies!
Today I get to share with you the second birthday piece I made for Abigail’s 4th Birthday. (You can find The Perfectly Perfect Pink Ballerina Birthday Dress Here.) Her dance class is a combo class of Ballet and Tap, they focus on one first, and then take a small break so the kiddos can switch out their gear. Usually they keep the same outfit and just switch out the shoes, but the day was special so some Funky Birthday Sprinkles Pants for tap class were in order. (You can get away with these things when you’re a mother that sews lol) And used the last of my Happy Fabrics Custom Sprinkles knit fabric (the first time I used them was to make her Katy Perry Inspired New Years Dress Here)
I used the Poppy Peplum Pants by Filles à Maman (which I pattern tested last year, you can find that post HERE). The Poppy Peplum pants is a legging style pants – it has a tailored waistband with a faux front button opening and a super cute peplum cover and runs from a size 12m -14 years. For this version I made a slight modification. I omitted the faux opening and used a straight waistband which allowed me to keep my peplums circles whole. I love that the peplum is lined, but my favorite thing about this pattern is the coverage of the peplum! Look how cute that is?! And what could be more fun that funky birthday sprinkles pants?!
Some tap class action….
And while she likes Tap, if you viewed the first birthday blog post, you can clearly see she loves ballet more! haha
And that’s it for today guys! Wishing you a safe and productive week! Talk to you soon! xoxo
Wow! How gorgeous is that! I love this fabric! ❤️ Well done! Xx
Thank you so much Mel! =)
