Happy Saturday Lovelies!!
I don’t know if you can tell, but I’m trying to sew up all the things I can JUST to match #TheSpiritedOne’s gorgeous gladiator sandals before she outgrows them! haha. When I made the modified maxi version of the Loli Dress by Bobkin Designs back in February for One Thimble’s Issue 14 Blog Tour, (you can find that blog post HERE) I thought to myself it was the perfect pattern for a breezy Easter dress. I also wanted something that would be quick and easy to do since I’ve been so crunched with time lately. The Loli was perfect!
I’m not a huge fan of Bambi the movie ( I mean c;mon! His mom dies!) but…this fabric [Designed by Disney and licensed to Springs Creative] was adorable! The sepia tones give it a lovely vintage look and feel, also Thumper is quite adorable too! She wanted something with a bunny on it, and I thought Thumper would do nicely.
Lucky for me, I found some beautiful venise lace I could substitute for straps and doing that literally cut my time in half!
And of course, I added side pockets! How else are you suppose to hold all your easter goodies right?? lol
This dress probably took me a little over an hour to sew up, (cutting included) and for me, that’s a quick sew. So if you’re looking for a super cute, breezy, quick and easy dress for Easter I strongly recommend the Loli! You can find this pattern as a stand alone pattern on One Thimble or you can purchase Issue 14 of One Thimble and get a bunch more patterns and valuable articles and resources!
And that’s it for today guys! Thank you for stopping by! WISHING YOU A SAFE AND HAPPY EASTER HOLIDAY!!! xoxox
