Happy Friday Lovelies!

Today I get to share with you a pattern test I recently did, but in the form of a pattern review. I feel like my reviews tend to get straight to the points that brought you here in the first place right? RIGHT! So let’s get to it! 😉 I had the pleasure of testing the Anneliese Dress by MCM Studio Designs a couple weeks ago, and considering the week I had before with everyone in the house sick it was the perfect “happy sew”. You guys know how much I love classic, vintage type designs and I have to tell you, from start to finish, this was such an enjoyable sew for me. Seriously, look how lovely it is! I honestly felt the urge to watch Romeo and Juliet after we were done with these pictures. haha #truestory

“The Anneliese dress is a simple classically styled dress. Two sleeve lengths and two front detail options are available. This design leaves room for your own creativity with places to add your own details such as lace, piping or other trim as well as the flexibility to mix and match fabrics for a one of a kind look”. – cited from MCM Studio Designs

Pattern Sizing:  2T to 10 years. I made a size 4.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern once you were done sewing it?  YES

Were the instructions easy to follow?  Yes. I’ve tested for MCM Studios before and the instructions and illustrations have always been very easy to follow.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made NO alterations.

What did you particularly like about the pattern? EVERYTHING! The lace bodice was what caught my eye when the testing call first went out, I have never constructed a laced up anything before so I was excited about that challenge. I now have a new appreciate for satin ribbon. Now I want to lace all the things! haha.

But I really do love everything about this pattern from the sleeves to the invisible back zipper back.

Testing for Linda is really one of my favorite things because her patterns are always vintage inspired and romantically classic! The two patterns I did before this one were just as lovely! (Clickable thumbnails below 😉 )

Will I sew this pattern again? :  Definitely! A little birdie tells me side pockets,, super puff sleeves and cuffs add-ons are in the future works, so I definitely want to try a version with those add ons.

Where can you find this pattern?  You can find the Anneliese Dress HERE for 50% off now through December 18th, 2016! I would snatch it up if I were you!
