Happy Friday Lovelies!
I know its been a while since I did a Pattern Review, so I thought let’s do one! We are now in cooler temperatures here in SoCal and so that means cozy tunic and boots weather! It’s actually my most favorite time of the year. Peach Patterns launched their newest pattern the Boho Tunic Top and Dress two weeks ago and it was the perfect pick me up sew!
Pattern Description: – The Boho Tunic Top and Dress by Peach Patterns. The pattern can be made into a tunic top or dress and features 4 sleeve options: sleeveless, short, bell & long. For my version, I opted for a Tunic Dress with long sleeves. (Sidenote: My dress version may seem a little on the short side because I made this dress a week before we had a chance to take pictures, and it seems she grew a couple inches since then! lol)
Pattern Sizing: 12 months to 10 years. I made a size 3.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern once you were done sewing it? YES
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes. I’ve tested for Peach Patterns before and the instructions and illustrations have always been very easy to follow.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I envisioned cuffed sleeves for my version so instead of the elastic casing, I added sleeve cuffs.
What did you particularly like about the pattern? I was drawn to the lovey symmetry of the front and back neckline. There is so much potential with that one feature alone! I like the fact that I could use contrasting fabric to make it stand out, like I did here. I also really like that it has a dainty simplistic structure, you can dress it up or down depending on what type of fabrics you use AND because of the different sleeve options is a perfect ALL YEAR ROUND pattern to have. Plus seriously, LOOK HOW CUTE IT IS!!?!?!
What did you dislike about the pattern? Not a thing.
Fabric Used: Both Fabrics from Art Gallery Fabrics. FLORAL: Priory Square Sunday Clippings and DENIM: Afternoon Sail
Will I sew this pattern again? : Definitely! I’ve seen some versions that have added ties, tassels and buttons to the front closure to create some pretty sweet boho looks, and I think the next time I make this pattern I’ll make one with tassels with bell sleeves! 😉
Where can I find this pattern? You can find the Boho Top and Tunic Dress HERE.
And that’s it for todays post guys! Thank you so much for stopping by!
