Happy Tuesday Lovelies!

I’m so so so excited that today is my day to show you my two comfy coastal looks for Sharon Holland’s Coastline Fabrics for Art Gallery Fabrics Blog Tour.

When I think of the Coast, I think of the ocean, and when I think of the ocean I think cool, comfy maxi dresses. So naturally, my first outfit had to be a maxi dress. I hacked the Summer Dress by Bubby and Me Creations to a maxi dress and used the Trade Winds Port Knit. I also used a strip of fabric to customize her beach hat, whats a beach dress without a beach hat right? lol

And now for my favorite shots!

Like all Art Gallery fabrics, this knit is super soft with a fantastic drape and recovery, it didn’t even fade in the prewash.

For my next sew, I wanted to do some other than a dress,  and then I stumbled across the Pensacola Beach Petal Top by Seaside Notions. It was just perfect for the Beachcomber Nocturnal print. I hacked the pattern ever so slightly, – I curved out the squared points of the front neckline and eliminated the button placket in the back and went with a “placket-less” button closure.

This is such an adorable pattern and a perfect comfy top for summer days on the beach. I’ve actually got another one cut out! 🙂

I absolutely love Sharon Holland’s Coastline fabric collection! The name, the color ways, the feel, everything reminds me of my beautiful Belize. The collection is split into two shores: NORTH SHORE and SOUTH SHORE.

While the above are cotton prints, the collections also includes KNIT, VOILE and CANVAS.
