Happy Monday Folks!
I hope you guys had a wonderful and safe Easter weekend! I’ve been ridiculously busy these past weeks with my online classes, pattern testing, and the normal mom and wifey duties, hence the lack of postings! haha! I need to be better at charting my week out…but my mind has been entirely consumed with class. I did manage however to make some Easter outfits for my favorite girls. =)
First up, my darling niece, in a super cute ruffle romper drafted entirely from her measurements and an image I had in my head.
Her mommy made the adorable bunny ears headband to match. Soooo super duper cute right?! I can’t stand it! haha!
I even made her a matching bunny softie to go with her outfit.
Abigail’s romper is actually a frankenpattern (a mixture of two patterns): The top is Simplicity 1624; modified to allow the snap closure in the front and of course yes, it’s fully lined! 😉 I added a bit of ric rac trim around the waist to add a little pop.
And the bottom is my favorite Burda 5318 bubble pants you’ve seen me make a couple times HERE and HERE. I knew she would be running around hunting eggs, so I wanted her to be comfortable and covered.
This is also one of the very few times I’ve sewn anything for her using double knit fabric instead of cotton – and I love how it came out. Knit, unlike cotton has a wonderful stretch so most times you can eliminate the need for buttons or zippers – yaaay for that! lol
My sister-in-law made a headband to match Abigail’s outfit too. It was the perfect splash of color and whimsy don’t you think?
I also made her a bunny softie to match her outfit, I think she liked it! haha!
Random shot of the oldest kiddos…the littlest two are missing…
We had a wonderful Easter weekend, hope you guys did too!! That’s it for today guys, talk to you soon! xoxo
