Happy Friday guys!!
I had the honor to pattern test for Mingo & Grace again last month, this time it was the MG2715 Crop Top Skirt Set. I really do enjoy pattern testing when I’m able to test the most adorable garments! This set features a cute boxy crop top with three different sleeve options and customizable back closures (this is especially sweet for those of us who don’t particularly enjoy making button holes! haha). The skirt is full and you can choose between a full elastic waist band or a flat front with an elastic back AND it also has pockets (you know how we love pockets!).
For my version, I went with the sleeveless option (since we live in California) with snap closures in the back for the crop top (which is also fully lined), and the flat front with elastic waist band in the back for the skirt. I love the fact that the elastic waistband and generous hem allowance allows for growth, so that means she’ll be able to get some good wear from it.
I decided to pattern mix this combo, but both fabrics are from Michael Miller Fabrics, I couldn’t help myself! lol
Let’s not forget to mention how much the twirl factor it has! lol About 70 percent of the pictures taken that day were twirling pics….she loves it!
Seriously, how super stylish is this set?? It’s classic yet modern and super chic right?! I just love the fact that because it has so many sleeve options I can sew up another for fall too!
