Happy Hump Day Lovelies!
Recently I tested the Emily Ann Cardigan by Blaverry and just had to share with you how adorable it is. The Emily Ann Cardigan is one of those patterns for the “everyday girl”, you can dress it up, dress it down or custom coordinate it with an outfit by using woven fabric. It has a classic design yet it’s simple and stylish, but most of all comfortable! I sewed mine using some plaid knit from Girl Charlee I picked up at #QuiltCon2016 a couple months ago; I was told that this was part of their exclusive BOLT line. (you can read more about that HERE).
Pattern Description: The Emily Ann Cardigan
Pattern Sizing: The pattern ranges from 2T – to 16 years. I cut a size 3.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern once you were done sewing it? YES
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes. BUT only because I’m a seasoned sewer. Blaverry’s writing style and instructions are short and straight to the point. If you have a good handle on sewing terms you should be fine .
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Not a design change per say, but the pattern originally calls for 3 snaps/buttons but I only had two on hand so I was only able to have two.
What did you particularly like about the pattern? I love that this cardigan has a front closure and that she can put it on and take it off herself.
What did you dislike about the pattern? Nothing, it was a good sew.
Fabric Used: Plaid knit from Girl Charlee BOLT Collection
Will I sew this pattern again? : Yes, I see many little dresses that need matching cardigans in the future 😉
And, that’s it for today guys! Thanks so much for stopping by and wishing you a productive rest of the week! I’ll talk to you soon! xoxo
I want to purchase this pattern, but when I click on the link, it says the domain name is for sale. Any ideas?
The pdf designer closed her shop Jennie, I’m sorry!
Thank you Candice for the blog post featuring the Emily Ann cardigan. I’m so happy you enjoyed working with it. It’s such a fun and quick sew with nice professional results. My favorite part is the clean finish of the inside with the facings. It helps everything to lay perfectly. 😉
Great job!
